Continuing with the site renewal I’ve cleaned up and restyled the downloads & media section. All pages within now sport a uniform blue colour theme (just like the link at the top of the page!) and have been updated with relevant text and cleaner spacing!
As an extra bonus I’ve uploaded almost 100 new icons to the musical and anime icons with quite a few new characters being used this time around.
While on the topic of avatars I’ve been having (as have many other Sailor Moon sites since time began) a few issues lately with people hotlinking (or directlinking) to my icons despite the obvious requests not to on the pages. Because this costs me money I’m implemented a complete ban on hotlinking via htaccess. Found a great page here: http://altlab.com/htaccess_tutorial.html that explained how to do it. Literally took 3 minutes to set up.
Basically what will happen now is that if you view any files from Moonkitty.net via another site you’ll be shown a wonderful icon with Moonkitty.net’s name on it. If you’re subscribed to the site feed this means that the icon used with each update will be the same one but when you view the site and go to the actual post on the Moonkitty.net servers you’ll see the icon chosen. In short, no need to worry. 
It’ll only really affect the people who are hotlinking to my files.

What was that? Ah, that must be Moonkitty.net’s new Twitter account!
I know a few weeks ago I mentioned my personal account but since then and because of the site redesign I’ve decided to create an account exclusive for Moonkitty.net updates.
