The first Sailor Moon R bumper (or eyecatch) usually showed up right before the first commercial break. It would feature super deformed "chibi" versions of Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon who would all jump onto the screen as the Japanese Sailor Moon R logo would appear and Sailor Moon's voice would yell out, "Sailor Moon R!"
