Star Struck, Bad Luck
Jap.90 "Premonition of World's End? Mysterious New Warriors"
Raye is having a vision. The entire world is covered in darkness and her four Sailor Scout team-mates have been turned to stone along with all the other people of Tokyo.
A giant force begins to blast it's way through the city destroying everyone in sight. Raye watches in horror as Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter are destroyed. Suddenly she's blinded be a bright light which divides into three separate lights that fly away.
The next day at her temple, all the girls are over to study together. Raye seems distracted by the vision she had the night before. Serena is sleeping and dreaming about eating too much ice cream and Darien finding out. Raye wakes her up. Amy tells her that she had better study more as she doesn't think she passed that last exam.
Somewhere else, in a dark basement, an evil man with big glasses experiments with a pod in a tube. He begins to laugh and tells his busty assistant, Kaorinite that the "Heart Attacks" are complete and that they're ready to find the three talismans that are hidden in three individual's pure hearts for when all three are brought together, a Holy Chalice will appear and give the user great power!
He releases the egg to start the mission. Kaori Night teleports away to observe.
After school, Serena is walking home, devastated over her English test result. She failed. She sits down and begins to ponder on what Darien would say, when Darien 
appears and says it for her, that they should postpone their next date so she can study more.
As Serena walks sadly home, wondering what everyone else will think, especially Raye, she collides with Raye! The two stop in the park and talk about their dreams. Serena says that her dream is to marry Darien and spend the rest of her life with him. When she asks Raye what her dream is, Serena is surprised to hear how ambitious she is! She wants to be a singer, a dancer, get married and more!
They say goodbye and Raye walks back to her temple where the mysterious egg from before has absorbed into the wish tree on her temple grounds!
Later that day, Raye tries fire reading to see if she can get more information about the vision she had but gets nothing. She decides to place a wish charm / tag on the temple's tree but as soon as she ties it on the tree transforms into a new villain who introduces herself as a "Heart Attack" called, Nidusa!
Raye runs away and tries to transform, but she's caught by the Heart Attack and pinned against a wall by it's detachable stone hands! Nidusa reveals a black star symbol 
from which she fires a blast of energy at Raye's chest which causes shiny energy to gather there. Raye begins to scream in pain.
Serena and Luna who were walking nearby hear her and run to her aid. Serena transforms into Sailor Moon and tries to save Raye. The new villain is strong however and puts up a good fight. Amy, Lita and Mina appear and try to help but are all pinned to trees before they're able to transform. Tuxedo Mask arrives and distracts the Heart Attack with a rose attack but is in turn disabled.
Sailor Moon attacks with the powerful finishing attack, Moon Sceptre Elimination but everyone is horrified when Nidusa casually deflects it! Luna says that this new enemy is a lot stronger than their old 
ones!
Sailor Moon is then tied to the tree as the Heart Attack bites her Moon Compact on her chest. The Imperium Silver Crystal deactivates and Sailor Moon reverts back to normal Serena.
Nidusa then completes her attack on Raye and continues blasting her chest with her beam. Raye continues to scream as a crystal emerges from her body. Nidusa says that this is a Heart Crystal. Luna seems to know what she's talking about.
As Raye passes out, two powerful energy attacks come out of nowhere and blast Nidusa, turning her back into the tree she was originally. The egg falls out of the tree and 
cracks open, releasing the evil energy within it.
Two mysterious Sailor Scout figures stand in a nearby tree and observe Raye's Heart Crystal. They conclude that it's not the one they're looking for and return it to Raye and run away.
Serena, Tuxedo Mask and the others who are now free that the Heart Attack was defeated run to Raye as her Heart Crystal returns to her body. She regains conciousness and they all hug her.
They all stand up and ponder who this new villain is.
Monster of the Day
Nidusa was the first Heart Snatcher to be hatched from a Daimon egg and seemed to be very strong indeed! She possessed the strength to actually damage Sailor Moon's Moon Compact and resisted most attacks before succumbing to Sailor Neptune and Uranus' Neptune Deep Submerge and Uranus World Shaking attacks.
Interesting Facts
This episode featured the official first appearance of Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus as well as Doctor Tomoe and Kaori Night!
While we didn't see the whole attack, the two attacks used to defeat Nidusa were obviously Uranus World Shaking and Neptune Deep Submerge, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune's first attacks!
Due to several episodes from the first two seasons not being dubbed into English, Sailor Moon R ended with episode number 82, but due to the fact that no episodes were cut from Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon SuperS and to avoid confusion for those with the DVDs, the episodes from now on will start with #90, the same as the Japanese episode. So basically, when you see the link below to read the episode guide for the previous episode which is #82, while this episode is #90, don't worry, it's not a mistake.
The park featured in this episode is actually a real world location in Azabu Juban in Tokyo and is used several times throughout the Sailor Moon anime. For more information on this park, check out the Sailor Moon Travel Guide.
