Ice Sword Attack [live action]

First Appearance: Act 14

See Also: Live action Sailor Moon exclusive attack.

In Brief: Seeking for a way to defend herself against Kunzite's sword attacks, Sailor Mercury created an ice sword out of the water in the cave they were fighting in.

While this specific sword is only seen in this episode, it is a precursor for the two other swords that Sailor Mercury will wield later on in the series and a sign of Sailor Mercury's true Sailor Soldier potential. Also, while these other two swords appear to be actual items that she wields, this one is a creation of her power and will.

The use of the ice sword has no official attack name like the other attacks in the series, though it is an obvious attack power that Sailor Mercury summoned in real time so I felt it was worth mentioning here.

Cultural: "Dreaming that you are wielding a sword, represents your ambition, competitive nature decisiveness and will power. You seek to hold a position of prestige, authority, and distinction. Alternatively, the sword can be seen as a phallic symbol and thus represent masculine power."
-- Taken from HyperDictionary.com

The Move: Sailor Mercury asks silently for the water's help and with the power of her will manages to form an ice sword out of the nearby water. The sword manages to defend herself against a powerful strike from Kunzite's sword.
Moments after it's use, Sailor Mercury casually dissolves the sword back into it's water form.
