What a great first week for the Fan Art Friday Sailor Moon fan art competition! A big thank you to everyone that took the time and effort to create and submit their artworks. There really is some amazing talent in the Sailor Moon fandom!

It wasn't easy to choose the top five entries but I got there eventually. As will happen with each week's entries, my ultimate favourite Sailor Moon fan art is listed first, at the top of the list, and the four runners up are listed, in no particular order, underneath it.

I love the representations of the character's personalities here and the use of colour and line work is spot on. It's not hard to see why this brilliant Sailor Moon fan art by SoLoretta won the first position in the Fan Art Friday competition this week. Well done!

The artbook style in this Sailor Moon image really set it apart from other entries. What a great idea to incorporate the roses and butterflies, both of which have symbolism in the Sailor Moon series.

This image of the Sailor Moon power couple made the list for its pure sense of joy and enthusiasm. I'm not sure what the deal with the bears is but it's hard not to smile when looking at this image. Great work!

Five points to Sailor Samara for thinking outside the box and drawing an image of Princess Sailor Moon from the live action Japanese Sailor Moon series. I always love to see characters from that show represented.

Last but not least, is this fabulous artwork inspired by the final season of the 90s Sailor Moon anime, Sailor Stars. The colouring here is perfect and I love the way it adds volume to the hair and details to the cloudy sky in the background. Well done!
